My thanks go to the nurses and all the staff at the intensive care unit at Blackpool in February this year, who saved my pregnant grandaughter&#8217;s life when she was in labour five weeks early and had given birth to a premature baby boy. She was given only a one per cent chance of living. But now both mother and son are doing well &#8211; neither would be alive today without those public services staff.&#8221;</p>
